a new approach
there’s been a bit of a creative burst recently.
there’s the release of ‘smplr’ on Bandcamp on 8.8 which contains 4 tracks from previous releases that are a nice intro to ‘this occasional society’.
‘smplr’ will be sent out as a thank you for folks who sign up to the new newsletter. it will go out monthly - 1st one 8.8 as well.
there will be a weekly blog here.
at least one ‘musical sketch’ will be added to the newly renamed ‘music sketches’ section every week. the idea of these is that they are shared in their unvarnished state as examples of the seeds from which longer more complex pieces will grow.
this weeks music sketch is an improvisation called ‘the trees outside the window’. It’ll go online later today. it was, unsurprisingly, inspired by the movement of the leaves on the tree directly out the window from the pod - where the majority of music creation is done.
Feeling very energised and excited for the future.
