Well, the new track, Standing with Damage is out in the world and has had some very nice feedback.
It also garnered a comparison to another act which, when I checked them out, I could totally get. This was really helpful as I often struggle with points of reference and I've learned that the clearer you can be, the more likely people will engage. The band are called The Album Leaf - check them out. If you are reading this and think 'this occasional society' sounds like another act, please let me know.
I've been listening to Internet Radio a fair bit lately - particularly radio free fedi. I really love the deliberate approach of mirroring the diversity of the Fediverse. You never know what you will hear next, it's a great reminder that we tend to exist in relatively small circles online and there are whole other worlds of passionate people who are different to you but equally valid.
I'll probably do a separate post on why I like the Fediverse some other time.
Anyway, all this has inspired me to go super old school and created a page on the website of links to acts, artists, radio shows or stations and other ephemera. As the enshitification of parts of the Internet continues, I suspect this will be a useful resource, not just for myself but hopefully others.
I'm keen to get working on new tracks. More soon.
